Steady, explained
How do I take a day off?
Open planning on a day with nothing on it yet and choose the day-off option. Steady asks what kind of day it is, and naming a reason is optional. That date's reminders are removed, and the day sits outside both rituals. You can still plan it after all if you change your mind.
Can I change an outcome after I have closed the day?
Yes. Closing a day settles it but does not freeze it. Outcomes, wording and deletions all stay available afterwards, so fixing something never means reopening the day.
What is the difference between finishing a goal and removing one?
Both end the goal and record the date. Finishing marks it as completed. Removing sets it aside without counting it as completed, so the record stays honest about which happened.
How do I change when Steady asks me to plan?
Both times live in Settings. Steady reminds you to plan and to review on your workdays, and you choose which days those are.
Can I turn the reminders off?
Yes, in Settings. You can also turn them off for Steady entirely in iOS Settings, and Steady will tell you when that is the case.
How do I get my data out, or delete all of it?
Settings has both. Export writes everything to a single JSON file you keep. Deleting removes every goal, commitment, someday item, plan, review and reflection from the device, and cannot be undone.
I paid before and Steady is not showing it.
Open the upgrade screen in Settings and choose Restore Purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, so this also covers a new iPhone.
Still stuck? Or just want to say hi?
Bug reports, questions, or nothing in particular. All of it is welcome.
Contact supportIf you have an issue, it helps to include what you expected and what happened instead, your iPhone model and iOS version, and your Steady version from Settings. Please leave out goals, reflections and calendar details unless they are needed to explain the problem.
