The short version
Steady is designed around a simple rule: use only the data a feature needs, for no longer than that feature needs it. Your goals, commitments, plans, and reflections are stored locally on your device. You do not need to create a Steady account.
Data stored by the app
Steady stores the goals, commitments, plans, preferences, check-ins, and reflections you create in a local database on your device. Insights are calculated from that local record. Steady does not currently sync this journal to a Steady-operated server.
You can delete your Steady data from within the app. Removing the app may also remove locally stored data, subject to how iOS handles app backups and restoration.
Optional calendar access
If you enable calendar-aware planning, Steady reads the relevant calendar window to estimate open and uninterrupted time. Raw event titles, identifiers, attendees, and event intervals are not stored in Steady’s database.
If you separately choose to create planning or review rituals, Steady writes those events to the calendar you select. You can turn either feature off and manage calendar access in iOS Settings.
Notifications
Notifications are optional. Steady schedules planning and review reminders through iOS. Reminder text avoids including goal or commitment titles on the lock screen.
AI assistance
AI assistance is optional and can be turned off. When available, Steady uses Apple’s Foundation Models interfaces to create editable suggestions and reflection prompts from limited context supplied by the app. Depending on device and system availability, Apple may process a request on your device or using Private Cloud Compute.
Apple’s handling of that processing is governed by its own policies. You can read Apple’s Private Cloud Compute Security Guide and Privacy Policy.
Purchases
Steady uses Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat to offer and manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives an anonymous or pseudonymous app-user identifier together with purchase, product, and entitlement information needed to provide and restore access. When a verified App Store transaction is available, Steady derives that identifier from the transaction. Steady does not send your journal content to RevenueCat.
Apple and RevenueCat process this information under their own terms and privacy policies. See Apple’s Privacy Policy and RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.

This is a static website. It does not set advertising cookies, run behavioral analytics, or include contact forms. The hosting provider may process routine request information, such as an IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp, to deliver and protect the site.
