Steady looks at the most recent twelve weeks of closed, ordinary days. It can describe finished commitments by weekday, capacity choices, typical weekly counts, planning and closing times, and which goals received finished work.
Some observations appear early and say “so far.” Established patterns wait for larger samples. The exact thresholds differ because some conclusions need more evidence than others. An observed planning time, for example, requires more days than a first-week summary.
Insights do not use open days because their outcomes are unresolved. They exclude special days such as deliberate days off. They avoid completion rates, rankings, streaks, and better-or-worse language.
Most importantly, Steady does not explain the pattern for you. If skips cluster on Friday, the app does not infer tiredness, low motivation, ADHD, burnout, or poor discipline. It reports the cluster. You decide whether the observation is useful.
Think of Insights as a mirror with a limited field of view: recent, factual, and incomplete.
