Steady builds that record from decisions you already make. The day had a chosen capacity. Certain commitments were protected. Each ended Complete, Later, or Skip. An optional note adds context.

Over time, the record can answer practical questions:

  • Which goals received finished work?
  • Which commitments keep returning?
  • What does a Tight day actually hold?
  • Are there rhythms worth planning with?

The record is not a complete account of your work or your life. It misses invisible effort, care, learning, and events outside the app. Its value comes from specificity, not total coverage.

Some research suggests structured expressive writing can support well-being in certain contexts, but Steady is not a therapeutic journal and does not claim those outcomes. Here, journaling has a narrower job: preserve enough truth to help you reflect.

You are building a memory for future decisions, not a performance report.
